Are you trying to divide the country again?

ok rumors have been going around the draft might be re-instated, but to think that they should draft poor and lower-middle class people and uneducated people as well is just anonther uneducated decision in itself, to really believe that just because someone is uneducated they should have to fight on the battlefield rather than the spoiled people in the "upper-class" of society who think that just because they have a little money to throw around that they are more important than anyone else, sending "lower-class" and uneducated people to the battlefield is the answer that republicans give because they think too highly of themselves, look at president george walker bush jr. when the draft came around for him to go to vietnam what did he do? he cowardly ran to canada so he wouldn't be drafted to the war, now he's trying to act like a man and trying to show up his daddy by supposedly capturing saddam, the man has 12 look-alikes, bush went to iraq for one reason, to steal their oil, period.

First draft those who send Americans to war.

The military has failed to meet its quota again this year but it's highly unlikely a draft will be reinstated anytime soon. Why? Polls show Americans are very much against it, & there remains growing disapproval for the undeclared war in Iraq & the Bush Administration (around 32% approval as of 5/13/06). Some talk of a possible upcoming war in Iran but this too is highly unlikely. Why? 1) Troops levels & resources are strapped thin w/ military interventions around the globe & primarily in Afghanistan & Iran (the National Guard is not suppose to police the globe!) & 2) Oil would shoot to $200 a barrel ($10/gallon gas anyone?)! Should the draft be reinstated? No. Why? 1) The poor will unfairly get drafted the most (as they always do) first, 2) People who don't want to be there will make bad soldiers (see the Vietnam War), and 3) The draft is involuntary servitude so its Constitutionality is very questionable. But...if a draft reinstated how about FIRST drafting the leaders who send us?
