Boxing is art
Boxing is an art form if you know how to see it. Its all complex, yet flowing motion. You watch and try to predict your opponents moves while trying to find openings to land your own attack and be able to pull back with as little damage to you as possible.

If you choose to be a boxer, then that is your choice. If you want to get technical, NASCAR is potentially a more dangerous sport. There is a lesser chance of death in boxing, then NASCAR. If you get hit with a fist, then you'll get a killer headache, but if you run into another car, theres no telling if you will ever get out of that car alive.
Boxing should never be banned. I am a female boxer, taking after my father and grandfather in the sport and yes, you do get hurt, but sometimes thats half the rush.

Boxing is a bad influence
Boxing is a very physical sport. Because of this fact there are always going to be some people who watch it.

A lot of those people are going to be young. These people are going to see something that they think is very cool and start to imitate what they have seen. This might be on friends or on random s.

The other way it influences is when young poor people think it's a way to easy cash. This causes them to influence more young people and so the cycle continues.

A lot of people will try to argue that it is only the boxer who is at risk, it's the boxer's decision and that it's less dangerous than things like nascar and we are doomed for the government to ban all sports if we let them ban boxing.

It's not true.

It's not just the boxer's problem.

It's Society's.

Welcome to YouDebateIt.com
This is the place for debate with an added element of friendly competition. This is a debating and essay resource and practice tool, not a debating society or club. There are no complicated rules, but these debates have structure. Each debate consists of a topic with two opposing views.

These are short essays limited to about 150-165 words. Present your strongest argument the first time, since you can't go back to change it--as with the National Forensic League and other speech and debate formats. Read these debates, then vote for your favorite arguments.

These debates are fun, informative and give exposure to all sides of the issues. Most debates will be archived (arguments that are obscene or offensive may be deleted). The better and more interesting debates will be featured.
