are you crazy legalizing mj is not the way
Mj is illegal for a reason it harms u and can cause death. The short-term effects of marijuana can include problems with memory and learning; distorted perception; difficulty in thinking and problem solving; loss of coordination; and increased heart rate. Research findings for long-term marijuana use indicate some changes in the brain similar to those seen after long-term use of other major drugs of abuse. For example, cannabinoid (THC or synthetic forms of THC) withdrawal in chronically exposed animals leads to an increase in the activation of the stress-response system(6) and changes in the activity of nerve cells containing dopamine(7). Dopamine neurons are involved in the regulation of motivation and reward, and are directly or indirectly affected by all drugs of abuse. One study has indicated that a user’s risk of heart attack more than quadruples in the first hour after smoking marijuana(8). need i say more

open your eyes!!!!
I understand your view of thinking, but look at the statistics more people die each day from alcohol poision or even suside.4000 teenagers commit sucide each year due to depression and peer presure. There are few cases where people acualy become adicted to mj, however you are correct it does happen, more people are inclined to drive drunk than to drive high. Dopamine is also found in some anti-depressions. That was only one study that showed that a users risk of heart attack more than quadrupled, in my oppion the only reason why its illeagle is because it is mostly grown out of the us and why would the u.s government want you to spend money towards other countries.

Welcome to YouDebateIt.com
This is the place for debate with an added element of friendly competition. This is a debating and essay resource and practice tool, not a debating society or club. There are no complicated rules, but these debates have structure. Each debate consists of a topic with two opposing views.

These are short essays limited to about 150-165 words. Present your strongest argument the first time, since you can't go back to change it--as with the National Forensic League and other speech and debate formats. Read these debates, then vote for your favorite arguments.

These debates are fun, informative and give exposure to all sides of the issues. Most debates will be archived (arguments that are obscene or offensive may be deleted). The better and more interesting debates will be featured.
