Legalize Marijuana
Contary to popular beliief marijuana is no more harmful than tobacco or alcohol. Most doctors would agree that it is not very harmful if used with moderatation. It's only when you abuse the drug that problems occur. But isn't abuse of any substance a problem? If you abuse alcohol, caffine, bigarettes, or even pizza health problems are sure to follow. Would you want the government limiting how much coffe you can drink or how much cheesecake you can consume?

Even if the drug was shown to be harful isnt it his or her own right to choose what harms their body?

Mary Jane and Legalization
Marijuana should be legalized on the federal level.It's the job of the government to protect people and their property from others,not to protect them from themselves.The "drug war" is also a huge unconstitutional waste of money.The government spends $7.5 billion a year to enforce the laws against marijuana.This is an enormous waste of money and could be much better spent on educating people about marijuana and then leaving it up to them to decide if they want to smoke it or not.Legalizing marijuana could help the economy.It would make new crops for farmers,more money for the government through taxation,and more money for grocery stores.
When a product is in demand and is deemed illegal,then only the nefarious will offer it,free of regulation. Legalizing marijuana will end this.No,I am not saying that marijuana is the best thing to do,but I would rather people use what is natural than something that is man made.Man made alcohol and cigarettes,God made marijuana.Who do you trust?
